Welcome to Hoot. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully — if you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Hoot is a feedback collection and roadmap tool. We let you create boards, receive submissions from your users, and organize them into a public or private roadmap.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials safe. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal activity or to violate the rights of others;
• Upload malicious code, spam, or content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or hateful;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
• Use the service to harvest personal data without lawful basis.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit through Hoot (boards, posts, comments, files). By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content strictly to operate and improve the service.

You are solely responsible for the content posted on your boards and for ensuring you have the rights to post it.

5. Plans, billing and changes

We may offer free and paid plans. Pricing, features, and limits may change; we will give reasonable advance notice of material changes that affect existing paid subscriptions.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties. You may close your account at any time from settings.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Hoot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data arising out of your use of the service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising from or related to the service will be resolved in the courts of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
